AI INSIGHTS
π€§Β Tech Giants $500M Biotech to Kill the Common Cold
Some of the biggest AI players, including Anthropic, Stripe, OpenAI Foundation, just backed Intercept, a $500 million nonprofit initiative designed to make routine illnesses like the common cold and flu a thing of the past.
-
The focus is on developing broad-spectrum shots, nasal sprays, and pills designed to block dozens of respiratory viruses, alongside advanced indoor air-cleaning tech for offices and schools.
-
According to Intercept, people lose roughly 15-25 days a year to routine respiratory infections. Zoom out, and that translates to a massive $600 billion hit to global economic productivity annually.
-
The strategy is to fund the risky, early-stage research just enough to prove viability. Once the tech is de-risked, traditional pharma companies and deep-pocketed investors can safely step in for the final, expensive stretch.
We are used to seeing the AI industry drop massive funding rounds on compute clusters and model training, but deploying capital to solve fundamental human biology is an interesting pivot.
Itβs a targeted approach to accelerating R&D that, if successful, actually solves a universal problem we all deal with.

PRO: BUILD AWARD-WINNING PORTFOLIO
π Build an Interactive Award-Winning Portfolio Website Without Coding (Real Demo Breakdown)
First, look around our portfolio website here. Click into a project. That’s a real, fully interactive portfolio site, and I built the whole thing in under 30 minutes.
Thereβs no designer, no Figma file, just Claude, Base44, and the workflow I’m about to walk you through.
And honestly, 30 minutes was my lazy version. I went back in and spent 2 more hours layering in personal touches, animations, copy, small details, and it got noticeably better each pass.
You don’t need to know how to code for this. Base44 lets you describe what you want in simple words, then turns it into a full website, powered by Claude.
β Note: I built this entire site on Base44’s free tier. If you want to do the same without paying a cent, use our prompt template. Otherwise, youβll drain your free usage before the site is even ready.

AI HIGHLIGHTS
π A senior Anthropic engineer released an 11-page PDF on “Loop Engineering” for agentic systems. It’s short, practical & packed with ideas worth stealing. Read it here.
π€ New Claude Tag got Andrej Karpathyβs attention. He called it a βnew paradigmβ for using Claude. But others pushed back, saying itβs just hype. Read full debate here.
π¬ Btw, if you donβt know Claude Tag yet, take 15 mins or less to watch this tutorial. Host Brock shows how teams can use Claude inside Slack like a shared second brain.
π Microsoft just introduced Skills for Copilot in Excel with repeatable workflows, financial connectors, and improved traceability. Create, use, or manage skills here.
π Gemini app now has Study Notebooks, a free learning feature (available worldwide) that helps turn any topics into interactive learning spaces. Here’s how to use them.
π‘οΈ GPT-5.6 may not launch publicly for us right away. The White House reportedly wants OpenAI to release it slowly, customer by customer, before going wider.
β‘ ICYMI, GPT-5.5-Instant got a useful upgrade, now better with detailed instructions, shopping picks, local recommendations. OpenAI called it “much more fun to talk to”.
π° Big AI Fundraising: General Intuition raised $320M at a $2.3B valuation. The startup trains AI on hundreds of millions of hours of gameplay data to teach models spatial reasoning and real-world action.

AI BREAKTHROUGH
πΌΒ How Codex is Quietly Rewriting the Rules of Work
A new research paper analyzing OpenAI’s internal data shows that the nature of AI work is shifting. The data tracks a shift in how individuals, organizations, and OpenAI’s own internal teams used Codex between August 2025 and June 2026.
-
By May 2026, over 70% of individual users deployed Codex for tasks estimated to take a human more than an hour to complete. A full 25.6% ran requests exceeding 8 hours of human labor.
-
Since August 2025, non-developer adoption exploded 137x for individual users and 189x within organizations, heavily outstripping developer growth rates.
-
Within OpenAI, Codex has effectively replaced standard chatbots as the primary tool for daily operations. By April 2026, non-technical departments like Finance (91%), Recruiting (89%), and Legal (88%) crossed over to majority Codex usage.
-
For instance, over a quarter of the work non-technical business teams did with Codex consisted of technical engineering, coding, automation, and data transformation.
As agentic tools become more accessible, the standard unit of knowledge work is fundamentally changing from real-time chatting to asynchronous delegation.
