His school joined a pilot program using generative AI to support learning after hours. So, what happened when AI stepped into classrooms? Three big takeaways from the experiment will blow your mind.

1. Learning Gains for Everyone—Not Just the Top Students

A six-week AI-driven program turned things around for students across the board. Here’s the kicker: the gains weren’t limited to AI topics or digital skills.

• English proficiency, the main focus, shot up.

• Students also did better in their year-end exams—topics that weren’t even part of the pilot.

• Girls outpaced boys, narrowing the performance gap.

Bottom line: AI as a tutor doesn’t just work—it levels the playing field.

2. Show Up, Soar Higher

Attendance was a challenge. Rainy season floods? Teacher strikes? After-school jobs? Life got in the way. But here’s the deal: every extra day students showed up, their scores climbed higher.
